Loopamp® Realtime Turbidimeter (LA-320C)

The Loopamp® Realtime Turbidimeter (LA-320C) is a device specifically designed for real-time reporting of the LAMP (Loopmediated Isothermal Amplification) reaction, which utilizes a novel gene amplification method developed by EIKEN CHEMICAL CO., LTD. User-friendly software controls the turbidimeter from a computer, allowing temperature and reaction time modifications for different tests.  The positive results are monitored through detection of the white turbidity formed by the amplification by-product, magnesium pyrophosphate.

Features of LA-320C

• Up to 32 samples can be amplified and monitored every six seconds simultaneously.

• Four heat blocks, each holding eight samples, can be set individually with different temperature and reaction time, allowing up to four different tests to be performed at the same time.

• The lid of the turbidimeter is heated, preventing samples from vaporizing and condensing on the tube cover during the reaction.

• The user-friendly software is very simple to operate.

• As with other real-time amplification methods, the LAMP reaction positive reporting time is related to the initial copies of the template.  With the reporting function of the Loopamp® Realtime Turbidimeter and a set of standard template samples, the LAMP amplification can be used to quantify the template in the samples.

Amplification Reaction and Detection Principle

The Loopamp® Realtime Turbidimeter (LA-320C) controls the reaction temperature and time for the LAMP reaction.  The four reaction blocks can be individually controlled.  Its optical system detects the white turbidity caused by the amplification by-product (magnesium pyrophosphate) every six seconds.  The software records and reports the result in real-time.  At the end of the reaction, the reaction blocks are programmed to heat and inactivate the enzyme to stop the reaction.

LA-320C uses Windows® applicable user interface which allows simple operation.

•Ability to input various parameters such as reaction time, temperature, recording and reporting time, etc.

•Visualization of a real-time amplification curve

•Adjustable baselines

•Ability to export data as CSV files.
